This document represents the 2021 criminal indictment of Ernest (Ernie) Fyans, a former Jehovah’s Witness elder who molested multiple children for years, including his own children.

This indictment is specific to the charges for Gross Sexual Assault and Unlawful Sexual Contact with Victim A, a child between the ages of 4 and 6, with the crime occurring between 1990 and 1992. Fyans was found guilty at trial in 2022 and was formally sentenced in January of 2026 to 15 years in Maine.
