Branch Organization 1977
The Branch Organization manual from 1977 contains significant references to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses and their primary committees, along with references to the Watch Tower Pennsylvania Corporation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
This document is important to the Caekaert and Rowland cases because the Governing Body established control over the policies and procedures of all Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United States and worldwide. The Governing Body members who served during the 1970s and 1980s were board members of the Watch Tower Pennsylvania and New York corporations, both defendants in these civil cases.
